PRESENTATION 1
1. Think of two products you know well, e.g.: smart phones, computers, clothing, restaurants, Liverpool and another retailer.
2. Think of 4 features to compare, e.g.: price, value for money, quality, looks, environment.
3. First, show how similar the features are and support your point of view using (just, almost, nearly) as + adjective + as.
- "I think Dell is just as efficient as Sony in terms of laptop computers."
- "Also, Sony has nearly as much memory as a Dell, as far as I know."
- "However, Dell isn't as fashionable as Sony. Sony has better design", etc.
4. Second, show how different they are using a comparative or a superlative.
- "In my opinion, Sony is the most reliable computer I know. I have one and it's faster than other computers. However, Dell is definitely more powerful. In fact, it's faster and the screen is brighter and has better definition, etc."
5. If you're listening, ask a question about the product or service described.
- "What's the most outstanding feature in those computers?"
- "Where's the best place to get one?"
- "Is it best for work or home?"
